Hey, I'm Laura
Here's a little about the person behind the camera...
I'm a Highlands lass but spent 16 years living in the Peak District before moving back to Scotland. I met my husband, Daniel in high school - lucky for me, his parents dragged him up to the middle of nowhere when he was 16. The rest is history!
We live in rural Aberdeenshire with our two lovable beagles - Jenson & Cooper. There's nothing better than coming back to beagle snuggles after a full day photographing a wedding.

"Laura was absolutely fantastic on our wedding day. She put everyone at ease and was so friendly, it was like she was part of the wedding party. She completely understood the style of photos we wanted which was relaxed and candid, catching real moments. Her suggestion to keep group photos to a minimum was great advice, it was much better to have photos of people enjoying the day, rather than posing. We couldn’t recommend Laura highly enough."

My love of photography begun many years ago. I remember filling rolls of film with holiday snaps or when hanging around with friends - never quite sure how they'd turn out when getting the film developed. I remember the first time I picked up a DSLR camera - it was at my Mother-in-Law's 40th birthday party. One of her guests, a wildlife photographer gave me a shot of his camera and I was instantly hooked.
Little did I know back then where this would lead, although it wasn't til some years later that I eventually followed my dreams of becoming a wedding photographer.

Being a wedding photographer is about so much more than delivering beautiful images. There’s nothing quite like sending a gallery and hearing how much those photos mean - knowing that you get to relive the emotion, the laughter and the quiet in-between moments all over again.

But what I treasure just as much is the journey itself: the planning conversations, the nerves on the morning of the wedding, watching everything come together, and being welcomed into such an important day by your family and friends.
And it doesn’t end there - it continues in the albums on coffee tables, the prints on walls, the messages from friends who are now engaged, and sometimes even returning to photograph the next chapter of their lives. Being trusted with those memories isn't a sentiment I will ever take lightly.
My Approach
My goal is to leave you with a wedding gallery brimming with genuine fun filled and heartfelt memories for you to cherish forever. I achieve this in an unobtrusive manner, allowing you to relax and enjoy spending time with your loved ones and have an incredible day.
I'll be discreetly present throughout the day, watching for candid moments unfolding and capturing authentic photographs without intruding. I especially love to capture all the intricate details of the day which you have put so much time and effort into creating your vision.

However, I won't be entirely hands-off. I'll be there to help ensure everything runs smoothly and to offer assistance and guidance as needed, whether it be folding a pocket square, pinning button holes, or calming last minute jitters.

I'll coordinate a fun and fast group photo session to ensure that these essential shots are captured but don't take up too much of your celebration time.

I will also ensure that you have time to sneak away from the busy schedule of the day, allowing you to enjoy a few precious moments together as newlyweds. During this time, I will capture some beautiful portraits of you both.

The couples I've had the pleasure of working with often express their thanks for the support I provided throughout the entire wedding journey, from the pre-wedding preparations to the actual wedding day, and beyond. They've commented on my ability to put them at ease, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for everyone involved.

I offer free consultations with no obligation to discuss your wedding plans, helping us to determine the most suitable photography options for your special day.
My goal is to provide you with a smooth and stress-free experience, from our initial consultation continuing through to the final delivery of your photo gallery and print products, as well as ongoing support. I will provide my guidance and expertise wherever you require it.
I will arrange to meet with you before the big day (ideally in person), giving us the opportunity to get know each other, delve into your journey together, and to understand your vision for your special day. Above all, I want to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera with me as your selected photographer, as this ultimately results in outstanding photographs.
This approach allows me to tell your story and document your wedding day authentically; providing you with photographs that capture your personalities and reflect you as a couple.

Whether you're organising a cozy, intimate wedding or a joyous weekend-long celebration, if you seek a photographer who exudes a calm yet confident approach, is a reliable ally who you can wholeheartedly rely on, I am the person for you!
