Originally from the Highlands of Scotland, I now live in the Peak District with my husband Daniel and our two beagles, Jenson and Cooper.
Having met Daniel in High School it feels like we have grown up together, and five years ago, at the Peak Edge Hotel, I married my best friend. When I'm not behind the camera, and Daniel isn't golfing or watching his beloved football team, you'll usually find us working on our latest house or garden project, watching a good movie, the latest Netflix series, or engrossed in the Formula one race; the dogs snuggled up between us on the sofa. We also share a love for exploring and travelling (both local and afar), and finding new places to try for food and drinks.
My passion for photography started at a young age, when I used to fill rolls of film with photos of me and my friends messing around, or family get togethers and holidays. Having always been a creative person, I usually have a project on the go; whether it be redecorating a room, upcycling furniture, or working on new greetings card designs. I bought my first digital camera in 2006, but little did I know that my passion and creativity would lead me to a job that I love.
I can't describe how happy it makes me to deliver beautiful memories for my couples to relive the best day of their lives over and over again. I feel privileged to be a part of, and share in your special day.
"Natural emotion, joy and fun... while also capturing some epic portraits!"
I offer documentary style photography with a natural and relaxed approach. I love to capture candid photographs in the moment, that are natural and unposed, leaving you to relax and enjoy the company of your guests. We can of course make time to have a few all important group shots with your family and friends. I will arrange a fun and fast group photo session so that this doesn't take up too much of your celebration. Then, we can sneak away and take a few gorgeous portraits of the two of you, allowing you some time to enjoy a few moments on your own as a married couple.
I will meet with you before the big day to get know you both, to find out about your journey together, and what is truly important to you. I want to ensure that you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.
This approach allows me to tell your story and document your wedding day in a way that is genuine; providing you with photographs that capture your personalities and reflect you as a couple.
I'm always on hand throughout the day to help out however I can, be it folding pocket squares and fastening button holes, calming any last minute nerves, or even making some tea and toast.
I will also be on hand to help out if you need any wedding planning advice or want someone to recommend a supplier. And on the day, I will be there to assist in any way I can.
I find it hugely rewarding to be part of a couple's wedding day, witnessing wonderful moments through my camera, and providing beautiful photographs they can treasure forever.
If this sounds like what you are looking for, or if you want to know more, please do get in touch. I'm happy to have a no obligations chat to discuss your wedding plans, and to advise on the best photography package for you.
