Here's a little about the person behind the camera...

I grew up in the Highlands (a little village on the west coast called Gairloch - if you've heard of it) with my two sisters and my Mum and Dad! My now husband, Daniel, moved to the village when he was 16 and we were friends before we became a couple. When I finished school, I moved to Inverness to start an apprenticeship in the construction industry and a couple of years later, we decided to move down to Nottingham (where Daniel grew up).
Life in the city was definitely not for me, so we ended up moving out to the beautiful spa town - Matlock, on the edge of the stunning Peak District. This became home for the next 14 years. If you ever get the chance to visit - I highly recommend it.

In 2015 our first furry member joined the family - Jenson, and our whole lives changed - for the better! We got married in 2017 at the stunning Peak Edge Hotel - although it didn't quite look the same back then as it does now. And after honeymoon, we went to see the latest litter and Cooper became the latest member of the family.
​
My mother-in-law remarried in 2021 and asked me to take some photos of their small intimate wedding on the Isle of Skye. After years of dreaming about it - this was what gave me that push to start my photography business.
​
Fast forward to 2024 and we decided it was - one, time to live near the sea again and - two, it would be lovely to be closer to family.
We now live in rural Aberdeenshire just 5 minutes from Newburgh Beach where Jenson and Cooper love running around and sniffing all the smells. And there's nothing better than coming back to beagle snuggles after a full day photographing a wedding.​

my love for photography
My love of photography begun many years ago. I remember filling rolls of film with holiday snaps or when hanging around with friends - never quite sure how they'd turn out when getting the film developed.
​
The first time I picked up a DSLR camera was at a 40th birthday party. One of the guests, a wildlife photographer, gave me a shot of his camera and I was instantly hooked. I bought my first DSLR and enjoyed practicing on family and on holidays.
Little did I know back then where it would lead - although it wasn't until some years later that I eventually followed my dreams of becoming a wedding photographer.

Being a wedding photographer is about so much more than delivering beautiful images. There’s nothing quite like sending a gallery and hearing how much those photos mean - knowing that you get to relive the emotion, the laughter and the quiet in-between moments all over again.
​
But what I treasure just as much is the journey itself: the planning conversations, the nerves on the morning of the wedding, watching everything come together, and being welcomed into such an important day by your family and friends.
And it doesn’t end there - it continues in the albums on coffee tables, the prints on walls, the messages from friends who are now engaged, and sometimes even returning to photograph the next chapter of their lives. Being trusted with those memories isn't a sentiment I will ever take lightly.
My Approach
My aim is to leave you with a gallery that feels like your day – full of genuine moments, a lot of laughter, and all the little in-between bits you might not have even noticed at the time.

I keep things relaxed and unobtrusive, so you can properly enjoying your day and spend it with your favourite people, without feeling like you're being followed around by a camera.
​
I’ll be there quietly capturing things as they naturally unfold, keeping an eye out for those candid moments and all the small details you've put so much thought into - they all come together to tell the story of the day.
​
That said, I’m not completely hands-off. I’ll step in when needed to help keep things running smoothly – whether it’s keeping morning prep on track, ensuring Dad is there for his reveal, sorting buttonholes and making sure your kilt attire is correct, or just being a calm presence if things feel a bit hectic.
​
Throughout the day, I’ll keep things running smoothly and on time – whether that’s bridal prep overrunning and everyone needing a bit of organising, or tweaking photo timings to work around the weather.
​
When it comes to group photos, I’ll keep things quick and easy, so you get the photos you want without it taking up too much of your day.​

Capturing Your Special Moments
I’ll also make sure we carve out a little bit of time for just the two of you – a chance to step away from everything, have a breather, and actually take it all in together. It’s often one of the only moments in the day where things slow down a bit, and while you’re there, I’ll capture some relaxed, natural portraits without it feeling like a big photoshoot.
​
The couples I’ve worked with often say how much they appreciated having that support not just on the day, but in the lead-up too. A lot mention how at ease they felt, and how it helped everything feel more relaxed and easy for them and their guests.
​
It means I can capture your day as it actually felt – telling your story in a way that’s true to you, your connection, and all the little moments that make it yours.
​
Whether you’re keeping things small or going all out for the weekend, if you’re after someone calm, supportive, and easy to have around – someone you can trust to just get on with things – I’ll feel like a natural part of the day.

Ideally we'll meet in person, but if that's not possible we can do it online - either way, it's all very relaxed, with no-pressure or obligation. Just a chance for you to see if I’m the right fit for you.

If you'd rather not meet or jump on a call, that's absolutely fine too - you can still go ahead and book. Just get in touch to check my availability and ask any questions before deciding.

To secure the date, there's a 20% deposit (or £500 for combined photo + video packages), with the remaining balance due a month before the big day. If you'd prefer to spread the cost, you're more than welcome to pay bit by bit - just let me know.
​
From there, I’m with you the whole way through – keeping things simple, organised and as stress-free as possible. Whether you need advice, reassurance, or just someone to bounce ideas off, I’m always here.
​
We’ll also catch up before the wedding (ideally in person), so we can get to know each other a little better, chat through your plans, and run through the timeline for the day. If you book a pre-shoot as well, we'll arrange that at a time that suits us both - a great way for us to get to know each other a bit better - for you to get comfortable in front of the camera and makes everything feel much more relaxed on the day.​
