When I was asked to photograph Steph & Steve's UK wedding, I was thrilled, and it was a great way to kick off 2022.
Living in Australia, Steph & Steve wanted to have a wedding celebration in the UK while home at Christmas. They booked the Peak Edge Hotel and Steph got busy planning with a festive theme.
I arrived, a radiant Steph was finishing getting ready with her bridesmaids, her Mum, and her niece. At 3.30pm, Steph walked down the aisle with her Dad, accompanied by her sister who sang Songbird by Eva Cassidy. What a beautiful and personal sentiment. The ceremony was conducted by Steph's friend, Sarah, and they had beautiful readings by her bridesmaid and flower girl.
Unfortunately, the beautiful sunshine we had seen all day, decided to hide, however, the married couple and their guests were happy to brave a bit of drizzle and cold to capture a few photographs outside.
Steph loves Christmas, and she was thrilled to see the Peak Edge kept their stunning Christmas decorations up for the wedding. They went perfectly with Steph's Christmassy touches throughout.
To finish the night, the couple enjoyed some sparklers with their guests, followed by the cake cutting and their first dance.
The couple are now back in Aus, and looking forward to Part 2 in the Spring. I cannot wait to see their photographs and see the similarities of style, but the contrast in location.
