I first met Emma & Jack at their pre-wedding shoot in Hall Leys Park in Matlock. They chose this location as it is where they had their first date. Like many couples, they were a little nervous about having their photos taken, but with a wander around the park, they soon felt at ease and were true naturals... quite literally "a walk in the park"!
Not long after they met, Covid struck and we went into lockdown. This meant that Emma & Jack made the decision to move in together and their love and relationship quickly grew.
On their wedding day, I arrived at Emma's parents to capture a few moments of her with her two bridesmaids and her Mum and Dad. Looking absolutely radiant, Emma was driven to All Saints' Church in a stunning Rolls Royce. The beautiful ceremony lead by Reverend Richard Reade was attended by Emma & Jack's closest family and friends.
After the ceremony, the guests headed to the Fishpond at Matlock Bath while I went with Emma & Jack for a walk around Derwent Gardens and Lovers' Walk. We captured some beautiful shots down by the river and on the Jubilee Bridge before heading for the arcades where they tried their hand at winning some cuddly toys. With no luck, we left the arcades behind and went to the Fishpond to greet their guests.
One of the best things about this job is getting to meet so many incredible people that you normally wouldn't get the chance to meet. I loved chatting to Emma's family and friends. They were a truly special bunch.
The Ballroom was beautifully decorated and the tables were named by Emma & Jacks's favourite bands. The stunning cake was baked by one of their friends, and as the couple love plants and have their own allotment, Emma created lovely handmade wedding favours with wildflower seeds.
It was then time for the reception with some fantastic speeches which brought tears and laughter to the whole room.
The beautiful day continued with the cake cutting and first dance and I'm sure they partied the night away long after I left.
It was clear to see how much love Emma & Jack have for each other, and that they are truly meant to be together. I absolutely loved being a part of their day and it was so amazing to photograph a wedding on my doorstep.
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your incredible day, and I wish you lots of love and happiness for your future together as Mr & Mrs Pashley.
